Planning storyboard for my VANS commericial

Image
What is our commercial is trying to get across? VANS aren't just a skater shoe nor is it just a casual shoe. VANS can be used for any occasion because that's how well made they are. They are meant for ANY occasion. VANS even though they do target one specific audience is open to everyone.  First scene: During this scene, we will be filming someone walking around with one pair of Vans. If we have a skateboard as a prop, we will have the model pose with their foot on it or simply have it around them. Second scene:  This commercial will show the model running around and doing different types of activities in their Vans shoes. Showing the versatility and durability of the shoes.  Third scene: Any other VANS products we have available will get their spotlight. Fourth scene: The shoes will get the spotlight in this scene. It's going to be one clean shot with all the VANS shoes by themselves.       Fifth scene: One model will be wearing a Vans outfit w...

Planning for my VANS commercial

Image
Props: Since my group and I decided to produce a VANS commercial, our main prop will be Vans shoes since we all own a pair. Multiple at that. If we can find a skateboard, we will incorporate that into our commercial but we can always do the commercial without it. We will also have a VANS box to really sell it. Costumes: In our commercial, we will be dressed in the normal "skater" attire. A flannel, skinny jeans and of course our Vans shoes. Their will only be one member as the person starring in the commercial because most VANS commercial is one person.  Schedule: - On 10/23/20, our group researched conventions and codes for our VANS commercial - On 10/24/20, our group tossed around ideas on how we would go about our commercial idea - On 10/27/20, our group created the storyline for our commercial for our 30 second commercial - On 10/28/20, our group filmed our 30 second commercial - On 10/30/20, our group edited and put any finishing touches to the commercial Location list...

Research Blog: Commercial Conventions

They also tend to show the production of their shoes as a commercial idea as well. Vans don't do much advertising through commercials but they sure get their point across when they do. - They wear costumes such as VANS clothing, flannels, jeans, ripped jeans, beanies and obviously the Vans shoes - Props include VANS shoes, skateboards, skating ramps, water bottles and so on - Their appearances in the commercials usually are white, athletic boys with a skater boy sense of style. Every once in a while a girl is thrown in the mix with the same sense of aesthetic -The score through the commercials are usually quiet besides the sounds of their skateboards going against the skating ramp. These sounds are meant to clearly show who they're trying to target. They don't go beyond skating noises but m...
