Editing Blog

Honestly, editing this blog was probably the easiest part. I didn't need to do much. All I did was set the timing just right so it didn't go over 30 seconds and synced them so it flowed. I had a lot of different videos to choose from for a number of reasons. Some videos were too long, some videos were too short or I simply didn't like them. 30 seconds was my set goal and I didn't plan on going over it. I recorded everything on my phone so I simply just sent the files over. I emailed myself the files and then used my laptop and editing program to drag the videos onto it. The laptop was where the heavy lifting really began. I needed an effective way to put these multiple videos together without making my time almost 5 minutes or over. Using the editing software, I synced all the videos together and basically made everything flow. After my videos were in place, I added a small sound over the recording. Choosing the sound was hard because VANS don't have much commercials to go based off. I just stuck to what I know which is they're a skateboarding company. After that I converted it to Mp4. Then I changed the quality to 720p to match my phones quality. After the quality was changed, I emailed it back to myself. Last time I tried to send a recording, it took FOREVER and couldn't submit so I made sure to email it to the teacher as well. Filming and editing this commercial was an experience. I really felt like I was in the profession which was so interesting.
