Starting The Final Task

 


I am Julie Sanon. I am 17 years old and I'm turning 18 in March. I’m a senior who’s been apart of Cambridge since sophomore year. I am taking this class because I need 2 more credits to receive my Cambridge diploma. This was one of the more interesting classes to pick out of and I wanted the experience of being a director for a year. Like I've said before, I didn't even have any AICE classes on my schedule but why would I come this far to not try and accomplish receiving my diploma? Before this class, I honestly never paid attention to all the different things directors purposely do but now I'm enlightened. It’s like being let on a secret kind of. It's quite interesting being able to know exactly why they did what they did. I am working with the same group for my last project. Their names are Sarah, Sydney and Saint-Flore. I personally chose to work with them again because we all know each other from school and they're reliable. They know when to be serious and when to get things started so we can be done in a timely manner. I like having people who care about their grades just as much as I do. Pulling too much weight in a group  gets tiring. The last project we did together was so much fun that we forgot it was school work. I especially appreciated that because the mood has been down for a long time with this pandemic going around. I'm hoping this time around it will be like the last time. I don't like work feeling like work and with them, it never does! This time I'm hoping to be able to showcase my acting skills. Anyways, I’m all in all excited for this next project.   How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? -   My product uses conventions by having on heavy display the song "Independent Women Pt. 1" and having the matching outfits and more. Things that bring in the idea of Destiny's Child as a group. Having little moments where we seem real close was important because Destiny's Child always came off as a sisterhood and nothing less. Planning for my music video

  The next step of our project is planning .  T his is the time where we  think of which  conventions,   we  want to incorporate  and which ones  we will  le a ve out.  There  were a  lot of conventions   seen and noted . However, we can only fit so much into a minute-long vide o .    Props:  Since the song is about women getting  what they  desire  through their own  earnings, the  scene  where  we a re  at the mall  props such  as  money , shopping bags ,  and what we buy will be used.
