Hi Blog. This is the final product of our movie. It was a long way to get here but we're here.

  Hi Blog. This one is a doozy. It seems like we were so close to being done and everything wanted to fall apart. Thankfully, me and my group are smart thinkers. Our editing was done but we sadly realized last minute we were WAY over time. Now we were stuck. Did we want to be over time or did we want to trim it down and get the right time? We honestly went back and forth on it for a while. We didn't know what to do but our decision was to trim it. While we were dealing with that, we also had to quickly think of the CCR plan. I was going to be the interviewer for the CCR. I offered myself up and I honestly liked that idea more than the teddy beat one anyways. But honestly, we have been overwhelmed ever since we were reminded that it had to be only 2 minutes. We didn't know what and how to cut something we were proud of. We also didn't want it to seem like we didn't have a grip on things. It's honestly been a rough couple of days. But, me and my group are getting thro...

  Hi Blog. This is another boring blog. We're done filming so the excitement is gone. We actually finished editing and it looks great. It wasn't choppy or anything. For a bunch of highschoolers, it looked great in my opinion. We haven't been doing much since then. We finished our title slides. Now, we were onto the topic of the CCR. We didn't know if we wanted to be extra or simple. Since it was supposed to be like an interview, we could've went our way to stage it like an interview. But we could also just do the stuffed animals route. I personally liked the interview route. We could do something like where the actors speak on the movie and the process of filming. Basically a promotion interview. But without the promotion of course. I'm going to run the idea to my groupmates and see which one we end up doing. I don't know what else to say.   Hello Blog. I'm still not doing much these days since me and my group are pretty much done. We just are editing and waiting for the final product. I'm actually excited for this project because it required more. It wasn't like our music video where we did everything together. We had our own separate shots and everything too. But back to the topic at hand. While St. Flore is editing, we're basically putting the title pages together. We didn't want to be unproductive during this time since it's really easy to do that. We want to also be finished in a timely manner. Rushing at the end of a project is not a good way to end a project. At first, I'm not going to lie I was confused on it. Hello Blog. I didn't do much of anything these past few days. We're done with filming and deciding the best shots for the film. Everything else is up to St. Flore since she edits the best. Since I didn't talk about our process of filming too much, I'll do it now. It honestly was fun filming. We had to take so many shots because either one of us messed up or was just laughing. That's what I love about this class. You're working but it doesn't feel like work. It especially doesn't feel like work because I'm doing it with friends. But we got a lot of different shots and angles just because we couldn't agree on them right on the spot. Another thing we did was change the script. You're never supposed to change the script but it honestly went better with us changing the script. In order for us to have enough time to get everything we needed to say out, we had to change it.    Hello Blog. Me and my group have done filming. The mall was the same mall we went to for our music video actually. Much like the last time we filmed, it was pretty easy. Sydney was the one recording us this time. We didn't need her in this scene so it just worked out. The mall wasn't busy at this particular time. The setting was perfect. We did about 2 takes just because we didn't know which one we'd like more. Overall, it was a pretty easy scene since it was mostly dialogue. At first, I felt like I wasn't speaking loud enough but once I got comfortable, I think I did well. I didn't want to make them continue to keep recording and recording so I tried my best. I don't realize how uncomfortable it is for me to be on camera until I have to be. But I know sometimes life is uncomfortable so I always power through. Overall, no complaints.   Hello Blog. Last time you heard from me was just before Spring Break. I'm not gonna lie and act like I did anything over the break because I didn't. I'm not gonna lie to Cambridge. That would be a bad reflection of my part. That break was much needed. It relieved a lot of stress. Having a whole year online compared to half a year is completely different. Senior year has been a tough one. The pandemic hasn't been kind on me sadly. I would've much appreciated being in actual school. I kept in contact with my groupmates and we worked out a date where we would film. We figured out location, time and everything else fell through. We really only had one scene to film so it would be a short outing. I think it would be maybe a 2 hour max outing. Once we got that under wraps, we didn't really speak much besides the usual hey and hello. But I don't blame us. It was long quarter and we really needed to unwind.   Hello Blog. This is going to be a boring one. Spring Break is about to start. My group and I decided that we weren't going to meet up and record over the break. I honestly feel like this would be the best time to record. But, we all need the much needed rest from school. It's been a long quarter. A lot has been going on in our own individual classes. But the media class has specifically been one I worry about. Not only is my AICE diploma riding on it but I actually want to do good. During this break, I'm not going to neglect my project however. I still want to keep in touch with my groupmmates so we have things to write in these blogs. Maybe even add different things to the script.   Welcome back to our blog. My group and I had changed our pitch unknowingly. We had changed what our pitch was from the beginning. Our main character was supposed to have 2 love interests. But she ended up having only one when we wrote the script. Instead of panicking, we worked around it. We changed the pitch and it worked better for us. If she had 2 love interests, I honestly don't know how we would've worked with that in our time frame. You definitely don't want to have more than you can chew. Plus, we didn't want to make it so packed. We discussed it as a group and decided it was the best option for us. I was proud that we were able to figure it out without worrying. Sarah was actually the one to catch our mess up. We rewrote our script after we discovered this fact. I couldn't imagine doing this project by myself. Having my group helps with having extra set of eyes. We catch mistakes better with all of us knowing this is our grade on the line. I appreciated be...

Welcome back to my blog. From the last blog, you know filming was a complete fail. After reviewing my failed attempt, I could tell what I did wrong. So this time when I was rerecording, I tried to be mindful of those errors. First thing I did was imagine myself in an actual conversation. I did this so I could get my timing right when I was responding. I also got my lighting to be much better. I didn't want the lighting to be complete opposite of the mood. I also tried my best to put my phone camera in a better position. I was able to capture more of my body and actions that way. I was definitely more determined this time around. I just wanted to get the video done and correctly at that. I recorded the video maybe 2 more times. My second attempt was much better. I reviewed it and sent it into our groupchat. I allowed my groupmates to give me constructive feedback which I listened to. After I collected their feedback, I looked back to my video to make sure their opinions were valid. ...

  Welcome back to my blog. I still haven't done too much filming. But I did record one scene doing it full out. I recorded my bedroom scene and personally, I didn't like it. It looked awkward and forced to me. So just from that, I know I wouldn't put into my film. I don't want to make it look like I'm acting. It should come off naturally like I'm really having a conversation. So even though I recorded my part, I didn't send it to my groupmates. I had to take time and note certain things I didn't like down. I didn't like how awkward I came across on screen. I didn't like how I rushed through my lines either. It just didn't come across genuinely in my opinion. I also had the camera in a awkward position trying to balance the camera on my bed. All in all, there was a lot of mistakes for the first go around. But that's what this time is for and I utilize it. I try and work out the kinks so there are no screw ups in the final product. Welcome back. Now that we've went down the basics of the project, we're now onto my own individual part. I haven't started filming at this time which means no editing. But, I did start my planning. Going off how the script is written, I don't have that many solo scenes. So I would need to record myself having the conversation but also leave enough space for my other groupmate to answer. It shouldn't so rushed or looked rushed. We're trying to make this film look as professional as possible. Now the next scene where I'm out of my room is when I go to the mall with the other girls. That scene will also be relatively easy to film. The only thing is again making it fit nicely into the video. Something I'm worried about is the quality of the film.
